Greetings, Vincent! It's my pleasure to welcome you to planDisney. I am also planning a trip to Walt Disney World for May...and June, and July. I won't necessarily be
going on all these trips, but it is nice to plan them in my head and dream of the day that I will triumphantly return to The Most Magical Place on Earth. Your dream is about to come true because 2027 vacations are currently bookable on the Disney World website! Huzzah!
I have to say that your question is perfectly timed, as guests can book their 2027 Disney vacations through October of next year. Head over to the Disney World website and use the "Build Your Vacation" ribbon menu to select your desired check-in and check-out dates for May 2027.
Your trip is a year away, but there's no time like the present to begin planning. One of the most consequential decisions is your
Disney Resort hotel choice. I have enjoyed Value, Moderate, and Deluxe Resorts, and highly recommend
Disney's Art of Animation Resort,
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter, and
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. Guests who stay on property are afforded a
variety of benefits, including Early Entry to the theme parks and extended booking windows for advance dining reservations and Lightning Lanes.
Your visit will straddle the seasons of
Spring and
Summer, and both are perfect times to visit. You are sure to find a festival or seasonal offering that appeals to you and your travel party. 2026 is shaping up to be a banner year at Disney World with the opening of
Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets, a reimagined Animation Courtyard in Hollywood Studios, and
Bluey's arrival in Animal Kingdom. 2027 should be no different, especially with the scheduled opening of
Pueblo Esperanza at Animal Kingdom and ongoing construction of Villains Land and Piston Peak in Magic Kingdom and Monsters, Inc. Land in Hollywood Studios. You can read about each of these updates on the
Expansions page of the Disney Experiences website.
Get out there and book your May vacation, Vincent! If you find yourself asking questions about resorts, booking, dining, or anything else related to planning your trip, don't be a stranger to us here at planDisney!
Stay magical,
Scott
