    How far is Shades of Green to Whispering Canyon? and what is our best route to get there? same with Cape May? We are staying at shades of green cause my son just came home from over seas and we have reservations and need to know how much time to allow.

    Hello, Mary!  Happy New Year!

    I am thrilled that your son is home and you are now gearing up to enjoy a Walt Disney World vacation! Looks like some new and MAGICAL memories are ready to be made in 2013.  

    Because you are staying at the Shades of Green Resort, you and your family receive free bus transportation to any of the Walt Disney World Parks.  Should you decide to take advantage of this service, you will be able to get to the Whispering Canyon Cafe, located in Disney's Wilderness Lodge, by first taking a bus to the Magic Kingdom.  From there, you will be able to catch a nice and calming boat ride to your restaurant.   Your return is just as easy! 

    In order to dine at the Cape May Cafe, located in Disney's Beach Club Resort, you can take a bus to Disney's Epcot or Hollywood Studios where you will then find a walkway or you can take a boat to your destination.  No worries!  You can always find a Cast Member who can direct you in the right direction now matter which route you choose.

    Upon check-in at your resort, Guest Services will be happy to help you should you decide to drive to your dining reservations.  Always allow at least an hour to arrive at your destination.  Since I am one who tends to worry a lot, I always allow an hour and a half.  You want to ensure that you arrive with enough time to really enjoy the experience.
