How far is the ride from All-Star Movie Resort to Magic Kingdom? I have a 4 year old and a 4 month old and don't want the ride to be too long if we need to get back for a nap. Thanks!

    Hi Jessica,

I am not sure if you will be using the Disney Bus Transportation System or if you have your own vehicle, so I will give you an idea for both options.  I almost always have a rental car when I vacation at WDW because I really don't like to wait in lines for the buses (sometimes they can be very long and what seems like it should be a quick trip, in reality many times ends up taking a very long time because of the waits or additional stops being made along the way).

The All-Star Movies Resort is approximately 5 miles from the Magic Kingdom parking area, so if you are driving yourselves, it should only take about 10-15 minutes by car (and then you will have to take either the monorail from the Transportation and Ticket Center or the boat from there to Magic Kingdom).  The bus is the other option and the timing depends on the wait time to get on the bus either at your Resort or at the Magic Kingdom. The bus option will take you directly to the Magic Kingdom though so you will be right outside the entrance versus going to the TTC first if you are driving yourselves.

I have probably confused you more than answered your question, but I want you to know that there really is no set time that can be given.  I think most guests do go back for a nap mid-day especially with children in tow and the ride itself is not that long, but the wait for the bus can be.  Hope this helps a bit.

    Best wishes,
