how far is it from the Orlando airport to WDW. Were staying on the resort but want to play golf first thing off the plane and need to make a tee time. So How long does it take to travel from the airport to WDW?

    Hi Terrie,

In general, it takes about 30 minutes to drive from Orlando International Airport to Walt Disney World property without traffic.  However, this is actual "driving" time.  Depending upon how you are planning to arrive at your resort, your actual total travel time may vary.  If you are renting a car, for example, you will need to wait at your specific rental car counter, cross the street from the terminal to the lot where most rentals are located, and make your way to Disney.  Taxis are readily available at the airport, and are generally a quick way to make it to your resort.  (An average taxi to a Disney resort is between $65 and $70 presently).  If you use Disney's Magical Express, you will be able to bypass baggage claim, and hop on a bus to your resort.  The best part about Magical Express is, it's free!  Magical Express buses make several stops once on Disney property, so depending upon where in the queue your specific resort is, it can take forty-five minutes to an hour to arrive once you board.

Have a wonderful vacation and a fabulous round of golf!
