    How far from the Magic Kingdom is Down town Disney? We are taking our 5 year old twin girls for their birthday and we have to go from magic kingdom to down town disney to the salon. I was wondering how far away that is. Thanks.

    Hi Rusty!
    That's an awesome birthday celebration! If you're using Disney's complimentary transportation, you will have to take Monorail to a resort and then transfer to a bus that will take you to the Downtown Disney area. I usually take the Monorail to Disney's Contemporary Resort and then transfer to a bus from Downtown Disney, which could take 30 to 45 minutes. If this seems like too long, you take a taxi from the Ticket and Transportation Center.
