Hi! As far as the kids clubs go on Disney cruises, do the counselors ever take them swimming or to the pools? My kids love being outside swimming on sunny days.

    Hi, Kelly!

Great "Mom Minds" think alike! That was one of the first questions I asked when I registered my children for the Oceaneer's Club and Oceaneer's Lab at the Open House. I figured, "We're on a cruise...I don't want them inside all the time." The short answer to your question is "Yes." The counselors usually take the children on ship excursions outside the Youth Clubs. You are informed of when these are and asked if your child can participate. They usually take them to the slide areas and sometimes on the deck for lunch or games. My kids also told me about a scavenger hunt and character experiences!

With all that said, there is so much to see and do in each of the Youth Clubs that we actually had to set a limit on how much time my kids could spend there! Can you believe that? We loved having the alone time, but we concentrated our outside time together -- playing in the pools, playing basketball or other games on the decks and having lunch in the sun!

Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
