How far is the Fort Lauderdale airport for the Disney cruise port

Greetings, Brenda! Thanks for stopping by planDisney!

I took a cruise on the Disney Dream out of Ft. Lauderdale this past December and I am happy to report that the Ft. Lauderdale Airport is a short, three miles from the Port Everglades cruise terminal. How easy is that? Disney Cruise Line-provided ground transportation can be purchased for embarkation and disembarkation days. Check the Disney Cruise Line website for more information on this option. If you happen to be sailing out of Port Canaveral and flying in or out of Ft. Lauderdale Airport, the distance is just under 200 miles (a 3-hour drive in my experience). You will want to check the Disney Cruise Line Ground Transportation page to see your options.

Brenda, before you board the cruise, download the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App so you can check out all of the cool activities onboard! The App will tell you which first-run movies are playing, which rotational dining room you'll be in each night, and what time to catch a show. It will also tell you when and where to meet your favorite Disney Characters!

I hope this information helps in your planning, Brenda. Please visit us again real soon!

    Happy sailing,
    Melissa
