Hi, Dee!
The Port Orleans Resorts are two of my very favorite Disney resorts. French Quarter is the place on property that my family considers our "home away from home!"
The walk between these resorts is just about 10 - 15 minutes. It is a lovely stroll along the Sassagoula River. My family often heads to
Riverside from French Quarter to rent bikes, or to see
YeHaa Bob perform in the evenings.
My only hesitation on making this trek for breakfast is that early mornings are so valuable at the theme parks. By arriving early, you really beat the crowds and can enjoy much of the park before the big rush shows up. I am not sure I would want to spend my mornings walking and exploring resorts. So, YES, you can absolutely visit for breakfast, but just make sure to use your time wisely.
However, an afternoon break at your sister resort's pool(s) or heading to the
Floatworks Factory at French Quarter for some made to order beignets in the evenings might be a lot of fun. By going in the afternoon or evening, you will not feel as rushed as you explore all that these beautiful resorts have to offer.
Whatever time you decide to visit your sister resort, I hope you have fun. Don't forget that both resorts offer boat service to
Disney Springs. This is a lot of fun and a great way to travel! Enjoy!
Cathy
