    How far between Disney Springs and the Magic Kingdom?

    Hey there, hi there, ho there, Gary and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Disney Springs and Magic Kingdom Park are two of my favorite places to be entertained and shop. In addition to the enchanting attractions, delicious churros, and the Happily Ever After fireworks, Disney Springs' live entertainment and phenomenal foods are truly Fantasmic!

    Disney Springs is about 6.5 miles from Magic Kingdom Park and it takes about 20 minutes by car from the Transportation and Ticket Center (the parking lot for Magic Kingdom Park). Please add another 20 minutes to get to the Transportation and Ticket Center from the entrance of Magic Kingdom Park to cross the Seven Seas Lagoon by ferryboat or catch the Walt Disney World Resort Monorail.

    Should you travel by Walt Disney World Bus Service then expect a 20 minute trip as well. One-way Bus service is available from the theme parks to Disney Springs starting at 4:00 PM should you want to continue the party after the theme parks. Disney does recommend that you allow 90 minutes of travel time between Walt Disney World Resort destinations using their complimentary transportation. Personally, this 20 minutes is spot on. We have had one experience where it took close to 40 minutes (but never 90) to get back to the Transportation and Ticket Center because the Monorail stopped running and needed maintenance.

    Something really exciting is the new Disney Skyliner. I hope when you visit it will be carrying Guests and giving fantastic panoramic views of Walt Disney World Resort.

    Disney Dad Tip 1: If I am relying on Walt Disney World Bus Service to go from Magic Kingdom Park before 4:00 PM, I will take the walkway to Disney's Contemporary Resort and catch a bus from there.

    Disney Dad Tip 2: Using the My Disney Experience mobile app you can get directions between any two Walt Disney World Resort destinations. Just search for your destination either on the interactive map or the magnifying glass (at the bottom of the screen) and choose Get Directions. Easy peasy.
