How far will we have to carry our bags from check-in to our room at POP? Do we have to park in the parking lot then carry them all? Or are there unloading zones with carts to get the luggage out before we park the car?

    Hi Cortney,

When we drive to the Pop Century resort, we usually park in the short term lot directly in front of Classic Hall where you will find the Front Desk's Check In area. While you check in, leave your luggage in your vehicle.

Once you have your Key to the World card (room key), the Cast Member will show you a map with the closest parking to your room. You will also receive a parking permit to place in your window. There are unloading zones at Classic Hall as well as near each main parking area for the resort buildings.

Depending on your room location, the walk shouldn't be too far. Rooms in the 50s, 60s and 70s section closest to the lake will have the longest walk from the parking areas. If you would like a room close to the parking lot, I would call and have that noted on your reservation. While requests are not guaranteed, this does help the hotel know what room location is most important to your family.

While the value resorts have Luggage Assistance, it can be very slow during peak check-in times. Even when I travel solo and stay at Pop Century, I take care of my own bags. However, feel free to inquire about assistance should you feel that it's needed for your family.

    Enjoy Pop Century!
