Jambo, Fred!
Welcome to planDisney. It's hard to imagine anything more majestic than exploring the beauty of the Harambe Wildlife Reserve on
Kilimanjaro Safaris at Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park, but it sounds like you know how to seriously up your game ––
Savor the Savannah combines an incredible private safari experience with African-inspired dishes and adult beverage pairings, making it the perfect indulgent escape for foodies and animal enthusiasts, alike. While I haven't gotten to check this incredible tour off my must-do list yet, I'm hoping to add it to a visit later this year and I'm so excited to hear that you're planning to set off on this wild adventure during your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort!
Like all experiences from the
Enchanting Extras Collection, Savor the Savannah can be booked up to 60 days in advance. However, if you'll be staying at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel during your visit, you'll have a little
extra pixie dust up your sleeve –– that's because Resort Guests can begin booking these experiences up to 60 days from check-in for the entire length of their stay (up to 10 days). How cool is that?! I think the easiest way to book reservations is by visiting the Walt Disney World website where you'll be able to check availability and book online. Plus, if you have any entitlements linked to your account that are eligible for discounts (such as
Disney Vacation Club, Passholder, or Disney Visa Card), you'll be able to apply those automatically at checkout. If you prefer to book reservations over the phone, you can also call to speak with a Cast Member at (407) 939-7529.
One other thing you'll want to keep in mind is that in addition to your Savor the Savannah booking, you'll also need valid theme park admission (which isn't included in the price of your tour) and a
Disney Park Pass reservation to enjoy this experience. Because of this, I recommend purchasing your ticket and making your theme park reservations
before booking your tour –– I can't imagine anything more disappointing than booking your tour, only to find that Disney Park Pass reservations for Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park are unavailable for your date. Lately, theme park availability has been filling up for some parks several weeks in advance, so I recommend doing this as soon as your plans are set.
Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney, Fred. If you think of more questions as your upcoming Walt Disney World visit approaches, I hope you'll stop by again –– we're always happy to help!
Have a Magical Day,
Amy
