Hey Howdy Hey, Lorra!
Welcome to planDisney! There's nothing I love more than counting down to a Walt Disney World Resort vacation - no matter how far in advance I'm planning. Let's take a closer look at what you can do now to start making that dream vacation come true!
Lorra, currently, you can
book your Walt Disney World vacation through December 31, 2026. After selecting my travel dates, I like to start by choosing my resort hotel. With more than two dozen
hotels in the Disney Resorts Collection, there is truly something for every vacation budget and preference. One of my favorite options is
Disney's Beach Club Resort. It has a perfect location (within walking distance to both EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios), great dining choices (don't miss Minnie's Beach Bash Breakfast at Cape May Cafe), and the most amazing pool on property - Stormalong Bay! Additionally, the beach vibes and that incredible fragrance in the lobby instantly let me know that my vacation has indeed started. I also recently enjoyed a stay at
Disney's All-Star Sports Resort with my 10-year-old son. It was a great choice for our weekend getaway, featuring fun theming, multiple pools, and several free activities each day, like Movies Under the Stars and campfires. Even if your vacation plans extend beyond this year, you can still start familiarizing yourself with options so that you're ready to book your vacation when your travel dates become available.
When you stay at a Disney resort, you'll not only enjoy wonderful accommodations, but many
additional benefits as well. One of my favorites is
Early Theme Park Entry, which gives resort Guests an extra 30 minutes in the parks each morning! If your reservation also includes theme park tickets, you'll have access to
Magical Extras too - available exclusively with vacation packages. Guests who book a vacation package also have the option to
add a dining plan. Don't forget that in 2026,
kids (ages 3-9) can get a free dining plan when the adults in their travel party purchase plans for themselves!
As someone who likes to visit Walt Disney World frequently, I'm always looking for ways to stretch my vacation budget. During the months leading up to your trip, I'd suggest keeping an eye on
special offers that may be released. I also like purchasing
Disney Gift Cards to help save for my vacation. Not only can I purchase small amounts each month to start saving well in advance of my trip, but I can also check for any discounts that local retailers may have available on those gift cards.
Lorra, I hope this information is helpful as you start to plan your Disney vacation! Don't forget that you've got a friend in us here at planDisney if you have more questions in the future!
To Infinity and Beyond,
Kristi
