How far is it between the BOMA restaurant and Avetar. Best way to get there? One person has limited walking ability.

    Hi Joanne,

Thank you so much for bringing your question to planDisney. I am happy to help you think about your transportation options at Walt Disney World!

You are heading to one of my favorite dining locations at Walt Disney World! Boma - Flavors of Africa is located at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. The fare at this dining location is African-inspired, but also includes something for everyone on the buffet. Even the pickiest of eaters will find something to their liking, and those with more adventurous palates will enjoy tasting all of the different flavors. We visit this dining location often with friends of ours when we are at Walt Disney World. One of our friends is a vegetarian, and this is one of her favorite locations to enjoy a meal at Walt Disney World due to the wonderful and extensive vegetarian options.

After your delicious meal, it sounds like you want to head to Pandora - The World of Avatar located at Disney's Animal Kingdom. This land is absolutely beautiful, with lush and brilliant landscapes. It also includes thrilling attractions such as Avatar Flight of Passage. There is so much to experience and explore there!

The good news, Joanne, is that Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge and Disney's Animal Kingdom Park are quite close to each other geographically. From Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, you can catch a bus to Disney's Animal Kingdom Park. The bus ride itself should be fairly quick, and the bus will drop you off close to the front entrance of Disney's Animal Kingdom Park.

In terms of your party member with limited walking ability, you may want to consider renting an Electric Conveyance Vehicle for them once you are at Disney's Animal Kingdom. There is a considerable amount of walking to be done on a Walt Disney World theme park day, so if their walking ability is severely impacted, this could be a good option. A member of our party once decided to rent one of these vehicles for a day at Disney's Animal Kingdom, and it made her day so much more enjoyable.

I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you, Joanne. Please do let us know if you have any further questions!
