How far away is the Orlando airport (in miles) from the Caribbean Beach Resort. I'm thinking of renting a cab instead of using the Magical Express so we get there faster. Do you know how much a cab ride would cost, approx? Thanks- LOVE the panel!

Hi, Pamela!  Your ride from the Orlando International Airport to most Walt Disney World resort hotels will cost approximately $45 one way.  It's a little tough to be exact, as you typically just grab a cab from the curb, and there isn't a way to know which company you will get.  This does not include a gratuity for your cab driver.

Honestly, you don't save that much time using a taxi over using Magical Express.  We flew into Orlando one evening, and my husband had to get on a conference call.  He didn't want to get on the call while we were on the shuttle, so I took the kids on Magical Express, and he took a cab by himself so he could take his call.  He arrived only minutes before we did, and was still in line to check in when we arrived!

There are also a number of car services that will get you where you need to go, but a private car hire will be at least as much as a taxi.

I hope you have a wonderful vacation!
