How far away is little mermaid room at AOA from everything?

    Hello, Lisa,

Thank you for sending your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  My family just had the pleasure of staying at Disney's Art of Animation Resort for the first time this year.  It is so magical!  We felt as if we had stepped into one of Walt Disney's classic animated movies.

When we visited, we stayed in The Little Mermaid rooms.  These rooms are the farthest away from the main building where shopping, dining, and the bus stop is located. However, I don't think of it as a long walk.  In fact, I loved our view Hourglass Lake. If you'd like to see for yourself what the distance is, you can click on the link I provided and off on the right-hand side is a map of the resort.  If you zoom in on it, the names of the buildings will show so you can see the area where you'll be staying.

I think if our children were younger, I would have liked having a stroller with us at the resort for the walk to and from the room, especially at night when little ones are very sleepy after a day in the parks.  However, please keep in mind that strollers must be folded up on Disney buses.

Wishing you a magical trip!  Please let us know if we can help with any further questions. -Kara
