Hello Carolyn! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.
I love the ability to make 3
FastPass+ selections ahead of time, it's a great way to start planning your day. The spacing out of these selections is totally personal preference. For me, I like to schedule my FastPass+ selections for late morning and afternoon. That's typically when I find the wait times for attractions are at their highest. My typical day at
Walt Disney World looks something like this.
- Wake up early! We are at the parks 30 minutes prior to opening.
- Enjoy our favorite attractions with little to no wait time in the morning.
- Mid-morning snack.
- First Fastpass+ selections about 11:00 am.
- Lunch.
- Second and third FastPass+ selection anywhere from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
- After using all 3 original Fastpass+ selections add an addition one via the app.
- Dinner.
- Fireworks.
- Attractions with little to no wait time until the parks close.
That's my typical Disney day and it's served me well over the years! Each FastPass+ selection that you make is an hour long window. You won't be able to schedule them any closer than that. I do highly suggest waiting until around lunchtime to make the majority of your selections, however. This will make all the difference for you and your family during the peak time of the day!
I hope this helps give you some ideas. If you have any other questions, please do feel free to come back and ask me. Happy planning!
