How far ahead can you plan for a Disney trip? I am planning on celebrating my 40th birthday and 10 year anniversary there in 2+ years. I would love to start saving and planning as soon as possible. Is it too soon?

    Hi there, Natalie!

Thanks so much for stopping back by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I'm happy to help!

Celebrating your 40th birthday AND your 10 year anniversary at Walt Disney World Resort sounds so exciting! I can't think of a better place to celebrate since your vacation is sure to be full of magic and pixie-dust. So I can certainly understand why you're so anxious to get started with your planning!

Unfortunately, vacation package prices for 2020 have not been released just yet and will likely be released by sometime this summer. So you can typically expect the same to happen next year for the following year. Of course it's never too early to start planning and saving though! I would definitely suggest that you take a look at the resort hotel options and decide which one is right for your big celebration. That way you'll be ready to book your reservation as soon as those prices are released. You can also start exploring the dining options and begin to plan an itinerary based on where you want to dine. I always like to plan my dining reservations to align with my park plans as much as possible. So really, there's a lot you can do now to be prepared when the time comes to make all of those reservations.

Natalie, I hope this helps and please let us know if you think of anything else we can do for you. Have fun planning your big celebration and have a magical day!
