Aloha, John and welcome to planDisney!
I hold tight to the opinion that if Maui were checking into
Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows he would have no need of his hook, because he’d never want to do anything but relax with a DOLE whip and hang out by
the Lava Pool.
Now, since you’re hoping to score
a deluxe studio room (
or maybe a bungalow), let’s talk about making reservations. If you are a
Disney Vacation Club Member who is planning to book using your Vacation Points, you will be able to do so 7 months in advance of your desired check-in date. When my family and I are hoping for a specific resort I always circle the 7-month date on my calendar, set my alarm and try to make the reservation as soon as possible.
(John, if Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows is your “home” resort, your booking window would begin at 11 months. Please see THIS question and answer to learn more about “home” resort and priority booking.)If you log in and no rooms are available, all hope is not lost, because there is a waitlist! Please refer to
THIS PAGE for more information about waitlisting a resort.
Finally, John, if you are a cash guest hoping to book a room at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows as you would any other room in the Disney Resorts Collection, you’ll also see inventory available around 7 months. If you don’t find your desired accommodations, I would encourage you to keep checking. While there is no guarantee, guests’ plans do change and sometimes you’ll find availability. Finally, John, if you are a cash guest, you may also want to consider booking a standard room at
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort as room only reservations can be made up to 499 days in advance. While there are differences between these two types of rooms, you'll enjoy all the same resort amenities!
John, I hope this helps as you’re dreaming about the South Pacific Vibes of Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows. Since this resort is close to Magic Kingdom Park, I encourage you to head down to the beach area of
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort to enjoy the nighttime spectacular.
Please come on back to planDisney with any other questions you might have.
Aloha! Lauren
