Hey There, Hi There, Ho There, Kathleen!
You're as welcome as can be here at planDisney –– thanks so much for dropping by with a question about your upcoming visit to
Walt Disney World Resort. As a fellow Midwesterner, I know first-hand that the calendar may say spring, but March really means lots of cold, rainy days. So, I can't think of a better way to beat that wet weather than to escape to the sunshine and warmth of The Most Magical Place on Earth. Since there are quite a few options when it comes to "reservations" at Walt Disney World, let me share a few details and important dates to keep in mind as you plan your upcoming visit.
If you're planning to stay at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel during your vacation, the first reservation you'll probably want to consider is your hotel reservation. Currently, Disney Resorts Collection hotels can be booked as soon as packages for the upcoming year are released, which usually happens sometime during the summer (for instance, the 2023 packages opened on June 8, 2022). Since it looks like you're planning to travel in March of 2023, this means that you're welcome to make hotel reservations for your visit whenever you'd like.
After you've booked your Disney Resorts Collection hotel room, I recommend turning your attention to your
Disney Park Pass reservations. Remember, you'll need a Disney Park Pass reservation, along with valid theme park admission, for each day that you plan to visit one of the four parks at Walt Disney World. You'll be able to make these reservations as soon as you've purchased your tickets and this is one step that I truly recommend completing as soon as possible. Why? Because it's not usual to see theme park availability fill up as your dates get closer. By making your theme park reservations early, you're more likely to find that all the parks are available to choose from on each day of your visit. And if your plans change, no worries –– you can quickly and easily modify your existing Disney Park Pass reservations right from the
My Disney Experience mobile app.
Now that we've covered hotel and park reservations, it's time to talk about my favorite part of the Disney vacation planning process –– making your
advance dining reservations! Not only does this mean I can start dreaming of all the fantastic food I get to enjoy, but once that window opens, it means my visit is finally getting close. If you're staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you can begin making your dining reservations 60 days ahead of your check-in date for the entire length of your stay (up to 10 days). Otherwise, all Guests can make dining reservations up to 60 days in advance of the date they plan to dine. That means if you'll be checking into a Disney Resort hotel on March 5, 2023, you'll be able to begin booking those reservations on January 4, 2023.
I hope this helped to answer your question, Kathleen, and I really appreciate you visiting planDisney. If you think of new questions as you plan your next Walt Disney World Resort visit, please be sure to stop by again –– we're always here to lend a helping hand!
Happy Planning,
Amy
