How far in advance can I make reservations for Disney vacation?

    Hiya Kelly!

Welcome to planDisney, the most magical place on the internet! Making Disney reservations adds so much magic to your experience, so I am glad you are getting ready to book them. Since some of these reservation types have different timelines, save these important dates in your calendar!

Theme park reservations are currently available through mid-January of 2024, so depending on when your vacation will be, you should already be able to purchase your theme park tickets and make your reservations. You can view theme park availability online before booking them. Now, I would highly recommend staying at a Disney Resort hotel as they allow you to stay in the magic, and Resort Guests also have access to incredible perks. One of these perks is that you can book your dining reservations 60 days in advance and for the length of your stay (up to 10 days). This means that you can make some of these dining reservations more than 60 days in advance, which is especially great for highly in-demand dining experiences. Resort hotel reservations can be made 500 days in advance, but keep an eye on the reservation system for good deals. Lastly, Enchanted Extras can also be booked 60 days in advance, and I highly recommend them to add extra magic to your vacation!

Another recommendation when booking a Disney vacation if you do not have set dates in mind yet is to look at the different seasonal offerings. For example, EPCOT holds five festivals at different times of the year, and they add so much to your experience! With the special performances, fun activities, seasonal merchandise and unique food offerings available, I always plan my trips around them. In addition, Halloween and Christmas parties are held at Magic Kingdom Park during the Halloween season and the Holidays. These special parties, however, require special tickets in addition to your regular theme park admission, so keep an eye out on when these tickets will go on sale, as they can and do sell out!

I hope this was helpful, Kelly, and that you will have the best day ever on your next Disney vacation. If you have any other questions leading up to your trip, please don't hesitate to reach back out. You've got a friend in me here at planDisney!

    Have a magical day,
