How far in advance can I request a particular floor for my stay at Port Orleans Resort Riverside which will take place in March 2019?

    Hi Marcie,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside is my favorite moderate resort hotel. The resort is simply gorgeous!

I always call 407-939-5277 to speak to a cast member about adding room requests to our reservation and have been able to do so at any time prior to our visit. When we stay at Disney's Contemporary Resort Hotel in the Garden Wing, for example, we prefer a room on the first floor. I always call to make that request. When making room requests, I also suggest that you think about the priority of certain needs. We want a room on the first floor at Disney's Contemporary Resort, Garden Wing, but we also prefer a room closer to the main tower building. We prioritize the first floor because first floor rooms have a patio and that is more important to us than proximity to the main building. Although requests are not guaranteed, cast members have done their best to accommodate us.

Marcie, I also recommend that you do online check-in. When we complete the online check-in process, we sign-up for text alerts. When our room is ready, we will get a text alert. I always check that text to see the location of our room. If our assigned room is not where we requested, I call the number listed in the text to speak to a cast member. They have often been able to make adjustments. So, remember to check that room assignment when you receive notification that your room is ready!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
