Welcome back to planDisney, Jenny!
Being able to plan out your theme parks a little earlier goes a long way, so I was super excited to hear about the new
Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass options. The Lightning Lanes are the same as they’ve always been (skipping the standby queue for those must-do attractions is a win in my book), but the system is different. Let’s get into it.
You can now make Lightning Lane experience selections before you arrive (versus waiting for the day of your visit—woohoo!). If you’re staying at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you can purchase a Lightning Lane Multi Pass and/or a Lightning Lane Single Pass up to 7 days before your visit. If you’re staying off-property and you have a theme park ticket or annual pass, you’ll still get up to 3 days to make selections.
You’ll want to log in to the
My Disney Experience App a bit before 7 a.m. EST to be among the first to make selections on the day that your window opens. At 7 a.m. EST, have fun sorting through the many tiered choices. I recommend that you already have an idea about what attractions you want a shorter wait for.
More about those tiers: Each theme park (except for Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park—my favorite) has groups, or tiers, for its Lightning Lane attractions. You’ll be able to make up to 3 experience selections, but only one can be pre-selected from the higher group. This higher group includes attractions like
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure (EPCOT) and the brand-new
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure (Magic Kingdom Park). The other two attractions will be from the lower, but equally as fun, group. Once you’ve redeemed one of any of your three Lightning Lane experiences, you can book another attraction from either of the groups as you go about your day.
Jenny, I’m sending pixie dust your way. If you have any other questions as you embark on your Disney vacation planning journey,

Magic always,
LeAndra
