How far in advance do you have to pay for a Disney cruise?

    Hi Kary!

Happy to have you onboard to talk all about Disney cruising. Oh boy, do you have a fabulous itinerary to look forward to with a 7-Night Western Caribbean cruise with Star Wars Day at Sea on the Disney Fantasy! My family had an absolute blast on that sailing a few years ago, so I can say from experience that we thought it was simply out of this galaxy!

Well, the answer to your question typically depends on a variety of factors, including your sail date, number of nights, and stateroom category/rate. But under the current Extended Final Payment policy, for voyages through March 31, 2022, final payment is temporarily extended until 60 days prior to sailing for Guests holding reservations in unrestricted stateroom categories.

Given the information I can deduce from your sail dates, my presumption is that your payment in full date would be October 31, 2021 for your January 29, 2022 voyage. Naturally, different rules apply for suites/concierge level and restricted fares, so if you have questions, you can check with Disney Cruise Line either online or by phone

If you are a Platinum or Gold Castaway Club member, you might choose to go ahead and make your payment in full prior to October 31st so that you can go ahead and pre-book certain activities like Port Adventures, spa treatments, and adult-exclusive dining at Palo or Remy (since you cannot make those reservations until your cruise has been paid in full). Just a planDisney tip to help you maximize your experiences onboard!

Like a Jedi needs a lightsaber, you will need the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app to stay on top of all the activities and entertainment throughout your cruise. Kary, should you have any other questions, feel free to use the Force and summon us at planDisney. “We will be with you, ALWAYS!”

    SEA ya real soon!
