Hi there, Rodney, and welcome to planDisney! I'm so glad you've found us here with this great question about planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation in 2026. I say it all the time - it's never too soon to begin planning your next visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth!
Rodney, your family sounds like mine! A large group that loves to travel together is the best. Walt Disney World Resort makes it easy to plan a vacation with a large party, and I'll be happy to give you some of my best tips. I need to let you know, however, that here at planDisney, we are just Guests who are experts in planning
Walt Disney World Resort vacations. We aren't travel agents and we aren't able to book vacations for other Guests. We are friends with lots of amazing travel agents, however, so you should definitely reach out to a local travel agent if you're looking for a little more help with your planning.
In terms of planning a visit to Walt Disney World Resort in 2026, bookings are not yet available. As of right now, you can book a vacation through October 2025, and we are eagerly waiting the release of 2026 dates. I'm hoping that more dates will be available soon, and I suggest keeping an eye on official Disney social media channels and the
Disney Parks Blog for an announcement about that. For now, go ahead and have a few ideas about where you'd like to stay and when.
For a party of eight, I recommend either a 2-Bedroom Villa or a 3-Bedroom Grand Villa at a
Deluxe Villa Resort. Each of these types of rooms features separate bedrooms and bathrooms, lots of thoughtful storage space, a full kitchen, washer and dryer, handsome theming, and more. The separation between the bedrooms allows for plenty of privacy, but the large living space makes for a great gathering place for the family. My large family loves staying at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village because we enjoy spending time watching the giraffes and other wildlife graze on the Savanna before heading to the
Disney Theme Parks.
Rodney, I hope this is helpful as you continue to plan for your visit. Please stop back by planDisney with any other questions you have as you prepare for your visit!
See you real soon!
