    How far in advance do they open dates for Dessert Parties? I am looking for the dessert party in the Magic Kingdom, Frozen in Epcot and the Stars Wars Dessert Party at the Studios

    Hi Cathy! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

    Dessert parties and other dining events play by their own set of rules, which at times seem non-existent. Unlike Advanced Dining Reservations for table-service meals that open at 7 a.m. EST exactly 180 days before you check-in to your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, some food-based events are unable to be booked until much closer to your trip. I had the same problem with the Fantasmic! Dessert and VIP Viewing Experience for my own trip in March; four months before our arrival I could finally see that it was to be hosted on the night we'll be in Disney's Hollywood Studios, however I was unable to secure our reservation until 90 days out.

    The best advice I have is to keep checking back. I looked up the dessert parties you'd like to attend, and from today Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular Dessert Party at Disney's Hollywood Studios is both showing availability and is able to be booked for the rest of this month plus the entirety of the next two. Frozen Ever After Sparkling Dessert Party at Epcot World Showcase is only showing availability for select nights for the rest of this month plus next month. Both options at Magic Kingdom Park, the Tomorrowland Terrace party as well as the Plaza Garden Viewing, show availability for the next 90 days.
