How far in advance do I need to plan my Disney vacantion for Halloween 09?

It certainly seems as though you're thinking along the right lines in coming here now.  It wouldn't hurt to start the preliminary planning process now.  You can begin by narrowing down exact dates for your trip.  From there I would decide on a resort hotel to stay at.  In fact, if you act quickly, you may benefit from booking the free dining promotion that is currently running.

Once you have those basic details of your trip determined, you'll want to come up with a flexible itinerary.  This will help you to decide where to book any dining reservations you may be interested in.  Dining reservations can, and should, be made at 90 days out in order to have the best chance of securing all of the locations you hope to visit.

Don't forget to plan a visit to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party; it's one of the best perks of a fall visit!

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
