    How far in advance do I need to make dining reservations? I know I can do it 6months in advance but when is the last minute deadline? Also, how do I book skip the line passes on my phone?

    These are such great questions! Before we talk Disney Genie+ and Lightning Lane entrances, let's go over dining reservations. One of my favorite parts about a visit to Walt Disney World Resort is enjoying all of the different options that are available when it comes to restaurant locations. And while there are still so many amazing places to try, the reservation timeline has changed! Currently, Walt Disney World Resort dining reservations can be made 60 days in advance. And Guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Collection hotel can make dining reservations sixty days in advance for up to 10 days. This is one of the great perks of staying at a Disney Resort hotel! Being able to book a full ten days of dining can help secure some of those hard-to-get locations like Chef Mickey's or Be Our Guest Restaurant. The six-month dining reservation window is no longer available. When it comes to making a last-minute reservation, there are no time limits! You can even make same-day reservations should you find a location available that is on your must-try list. When you are ready to secure your table, you can easily do so online through the Walt Disney World website, or on the My Disney Experience app. 

    Okay, friend. As promised here is what you need to know about securing Disney Genie+ for your stay. Disney Genie+ gives you access to Lightning Lane entrances throughout your magical day. This means you can bypass the traditional standby line and enter a shorter queue. Less time in lines and more time making memories is a great reason to add this service! This service can be added through the My Disney Experience app on each day of your park visit. This option is purchased the day of your visit, and cannot be added in advance. You can add Genie+ anytime after midnight on the day of your visit, and your first Lightning Lane selection can be made at 7 AM ET. Adding the service can be done in a few simple steps. Open the My Disney Experience app on your mobile device. Scroll through the main page until you see a purple banner titled Disney Genie+ Service. It will say Purchase for Today on this banner. Tap this and follow the remaining prompts to access Genie+ throughout your day. I recommend adding the service at least a few minutes before that 7 AM time slot to ensure you are ready to go when it is time to reserve your return time for your first attraction.
