How far in advance do I need to book a villa at the Wilderness Lodge Villas for the end of Oct. or early Nov. in 2012? We have 6 people. What villa would you recommend as a backup. 1 child age 2, one child age 4. Thanks!

    Hi Barbara!

I'm assuming you are not a Disney Vacation Club Member and thus will be paying cash (or using a credit card, etc) for the  room.  The good news is that's a relatively quiet time at Walt Disney World, so it should be easy to get a villa at the Villas at Wilderness Lodge.  That said, if you heart is set on a villa there as opposed to just a Deluxe Villa somewhere, then I would definitely make the reservation by the end of spring or early summer!

For a backup, I recommend the Beach Club Villas.  The Beach Club has a great location on Crescent Lake, between Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios.  The Beach Club also has the absolute best pool at Walt Disney World that almost all guests love.  It's actually a sand bottom pool and is divided into three sections; the young children will enjoy playing on a sand island in the children's area, where they can actually make sand castles.

If you have a car, then you should also consider Kidani Village at Animal Kingdom Lodge. Guests love the theming and I'm sure the children will love seeing the animals.  It's a little remote, compared to the other resorts at Walt Disney World so traveling by bus can take a while; but if you have a car, you won't have any problems!

Good luck with your decision and write back if you have any more questions!
