Hello. How far in advance do hotels open for reservations? I’m not seeing January 2026 open yet. Thanks!

Hello Jennifer. I'm happy to welcome a fellow planner to planDisney! No one will ever say you and I are like the White Rabbit—late for very important dates!

Can you believe summer is just around the riverbend? Like you, I am excited about the release of the 2026 vacation dates. While no information is available just yet, we can look at the last several years for some clues. In recent years, these dates have typically become available for booking between spring and early summer. So, we should expect information soon. For the most up-to-date information, I suggest watching the Disney Parks Blog.

Even though we are still too early to book, that doesn't mean we can't plan! Now is a great time to think about which Disney Resort hotel works best for your travel party, become familiar with the My Disney Experience app, check out the Disney Dining Plan, and make a wish list of your favorite must-do attractions. I'm adding a link HERE for a great resource to help you get organized.

Of course, you have us at planDisney to send questions to at any time. You can also follow us on Instagram for even more tips! We love sharing our experiences and advice, so you'll have an amazing start to your 2026 trip! I can't wait for those dates to be released. I have a feeling, like Tiana, that "We're almost there!"

    Happy planning,
    Shonette
