Good day to ye, Jess, and welcome to planDisney! Let’s hoist the sails and talk about one of my favorite onboard experiences:
Pirate Night!
Pirate Night is a beloved tradition available on many Disney Cruise itineraries. Starting in the afternoon, you'll notice more and more Guests in pirate costumes. An adventurous, high-seas energy will be felt throughout the ship as night falls, with themed activities, a special dinner menu, exciting entertainment, and maybe even fireworks! Guests are encouraged to wear pirate attire, although it is optional.
The schedule may vary for each cruise depending on the ship and starting port, length of the sailing, and other factors. I looked up cruises that embark on your indicated mid-September arrival date and found Pirate Night details for each (please note these are subject to change):
- 3-Night Halloween on the High Seas Bahamian Cruise from Fort Lauderdale aboard the Disney Destiny: Pirate Night on Day 2 (Lookout Cay)
- 3-Night Halloween on the High Seas Bahamian Cruise from Port Canaveral aboard the Disney Wish: Pirate Night on Day 2 (Nassau, Bahamas)
- 5-Night Halloween on the High Seas Bahamian Cruise from Port Canaveral aboard the Disney Fantasy: Pirate Night on Day 4 (Nassau, Bahamas)
Since these entertainment schedules are subject to change, you might want to check back as your cruise gets closer. Detailed (and the most up-to-date) schedules for your specific sailing will be available via the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App once you board the ship and connect to the Wi-Fi. Look for information about the
deck party, fireworks (if applicable), trivia, meet-and-greets with Characters dressed in pirate outfits, and more.
Jess, if there is a specific cruise you want to ask about, or if you have another question,
please reach out to us again – we're always happy to help here at planDisney. I hope you have a fantastic voyage filled with unforgettable adventures!
Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me,
Kriss
