    How far in advance does Disney post Extra Magic Hours? On our first trip, we didn't plan according to the EMH, so we didn't get to take advantage of it. We are planning a trip for July 2019 and want to make sure we plan on using EMH this time.

    Hello Bobby, and thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with a great planning question.

    I absolutely love taking advantage of Extra Magic Hours! It is one of the reasons why I will always stay at a Disney Resort Hotel. Being able to enter a Disney Theme Park an hour early or being able to enjoy rides or attractions a few hours after a park’s regular closing are amazing. There are times when I feel that I almost have a park to myself. When it comes time to plan out my itinerary, Extra Magic Hours are so important.

    I am happy to tell you that park schedules with Extra Magic Hours, are published online 180 days in advance. The schedule for July will be available at the beginning of the year. Keep in mind, that schedules are subject to change, usually for special ticketed events. Please note valid theme park admission and Disney Resort Hotel identification are required.

    Andrea’s planning tip: Take advantage of enjoying the most popular rides and attractions during the Extra Magic Morning Hours. The parks are not as busy and the lines are much shorter than during the Extra Magic Hour Evenings.
