How far in advance can I make dinner reservations at the restaurants inside of the parks?

    Hello Sherita,

Welcome to planDisney! Sounds like there are some restaurants that are on the "must do" list for your next vacation. Knowing when to book can be key to scoring spots at some of the really popular and unique dining locations, like Be Our Guest Restaurant in Magic Kingdom, or the new, Space 220 Restaurant in EPCOT.

You can begin booking reservations for ALL Walt Disney World Restaurants (in parks, in the hotels, and at Disney Springs) 60 days in advance. If you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, you can book reservations for your entire vacation (or 10 days of it, if you happen to be one of those lucky guests who visits for several weeks at a time) beginning 60 days from your resort check in day. That means, you can actually book some restaurants 70 days in advance, if that makes sense.

Because of this, I recommend making the reservation at the restaurant you most want to dine at FIRST, and be willing to choose a date that might be later during your vacation. For example, if you have your heart set on breakfast at Chef Mickey's on the first day of your vacation, it might not be available, BUT there may be reservations open later during your stay. I always recommend making dining reservations first and park reservations after that, unless I'm planning a vacation for an extremely busy time when parks may reach capacity (like Christmas or New Year's Day).

Hope this helps. Have a magical day!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
