How far in advance can I cancel a package without losing money? The package has already been paid for

    Hello Janet,

Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney

I'm sorry to hear that your circumstances have you reconsidering your visit to the Walt Disney World Resort

I can share with you an overview of what the current Terms and Conditions are for Walt Disney World Resort vacation packages when it comes to cancellations and refunds. You can find the Terms and Conditions viewable at the time you complete your booking.

The current Terms and Conditions for vacation packages booked today say that if you cancel your vacation package 30 days or more before your arrival, the amount you paid will be refunded. Any third-party cancellation fees or non-refundable costs like travel protection plans would be excluded from the refund.

If you cancel your vacation package between 2 and 29 days before your arrival, a $200 cancellation fee is applied. As with the scenario above, any third-party cancellation fees or non-refundable costs like travel protection plans would be excluded from the refund.

If you cancel your vacation package 1 day or less before your arrival, or in the event of a no-show, the full price of the vacation package is non-refundable.

My best suggestion is to give a call to the Walt Disney World Resort at (407) 939-7702 and speak with a Cast Member about your options for your specific vacation package.

Janet, I hope this information is helpful as you work through your plans for visiting the Walt Disney World Resort.

I hope you're enjoying some Disney magic in your day today!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
