How far in advance do I have to cancel a dining reservation?

Hi there, Jolene! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Confession time: we Disney Moms are kind of super planners. Ok, maybe that's not such a revelation, but it does mean that we're always looking ahead, planning things out, and moving things around when those plans need to change (like, if you finally get that FastPass+ time for the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train!).

Since we do have to make changes to our Walt Disney World vacation plans now and then, you can certainly make changes to your dining reservations, too. You can cancel your reservations up to 24 hours in advance without penalty. If you don't cancel within that timeframe, or if you fail to show up, the credit card number you provided at the time you made your reservation may be charged a cancellation fee. For us, the 24-hour notice has provided plenty of time to cancel when our plans change.

I hope this helps in your planning, Jolene. Please come visit us again if you have any more questions. We love to help families have a practically perfect Walt Disney World vacation!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

    Kathy K.

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
