How far in advance should I buy tickets to Disneyworld?

    Hi Barbara!

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Planner.

As a big planner myself, I like to try and spread out the "purchases" for my Disney vacation so I'm paying for it in smaller increments rather than all at once. For this reason, I tend to add my tickets onto my package when I book it and then pay for them about a month or two after I book my hotel, but this is certainly not a requirement! On the flip side you don't want to purchase them too early in advance because tickets can expire. If you have chosen not to lump your tickets into a package, they will expire at the end of the year for the following year of purchase. For example, if you purchase a ticket in August of 2017 it will expire on December 31, 2018, so you don't want to purchase that far ahead!

What really matters is that you have your tickets linked to your My Disney Experience account to make any FastPass+ reservation. Therefore, if you are staying on property you will want to have tickets linked to your My Disney Experience account prior to the 60 day window. For Guests staying off property, you'll need to have your tickets linked 30 days prior. If your purchase them online, the window for delivery is within 14 days so I'd purchase them at the latest at the 90 or 60 day mark out from your stay, respective of whether you are on or off property.
