How far in advance can we borrow points from the next use year?

    Hello Zoe,

Welcome to planDisney! It’s great to chat with a fellow Disney Vacation Club Member and assist with any vacation planning questions. Let’s look at the ins and outs of borrowing Vacation Points

I love checking out the Points charts on the DVC website and dream of my family’s next DVC vacation. Recently, we visited Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa and borrowed Points from the following Use Year to make our reservation. If you find yourself in a position where you will be borrowing Vacation Points, you can either book online when logged into your account on the DVC website or you can phone DVC Member Services. When you borrow Vacation Points, you are borrowing from the year your travel is in. If you are booking a reservation at your Home resort, you can book 11 months out and 7 months out for all other resorts. It is important to remember that once you bank your Vacation Points or borrow from your upcoming Use Year, these transactions are final and Points will remain in the current Use Year and must be used by the end of the current Use Year to not forfeit them.

Zoe, I hope this helps clarify borrowing Points. If you have any other DVC or vacation planning questions, please feel free to let me know directly.

    Welcome Home,
    Candace
