How far in advance can you book a vacation at the resorts?

Hey there, Jodi! Welcome to planDisney!

If it were up to me I'd just have a rolling calendar of Walt Disney World Resort vacations on the menu! I just got back from a little trip about a week ago and I'm already planning my next trip for the fall and another for next spring! While my husband is dreaming of a cross-country road trip I'm constantly pulling for another trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth!

If you're looking to book for next spring, you're in luck! Guests of the Walt Disney World Resort are able to make "room only" reservations up to 499 days in advance of their trip! This means that right now you and your party can secure a practically perfect place to stay at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel for your stay in 2023. A "room only" reservation is simply that, just a confirmation of a Guest room at the Resort. To book this option, you'll want to chat with a Cast Member at (407) 939-1936 since options for 2023 are not yet available to book on the Walt Disney World website.

If you're looking to purchase an entire vacation package for next year, which would include your Theme Park Tickets and possible add-on options such as Disney Genie+ Service, you'll have to wait just a TINY bit longer (I hope!).  In past years, vacation packages for the next calendar year have been released in June or July of the present year - so we're almost there!  Once these options are released you'll be able to change your "room only" reservation to a vacation package if you wish.

While you're visiting next year the Resort will still be celebrating its 50th anniversary, so you've chosen an extra-special time to arrive.  There are so many EARidescent extras floating around for this year, such as delicious treats with incredible backstories and the much-anticipated MagicBand+.  If you happen to get your hands on a MagicBand+ for your trip, make sure to check out the Disney Fab 50 Character Collection.  I won't spoil it here, but you'll want to see what happens when you wave some pixie dust from your MagicBand+ over these 50 golden statues!

    Happy planning!

Hi All, I'm Ashley! From the very beginning Walt Disney World Resort has always been a part of my life. As a child I excitedly helped to plan family trips, as a young adult I planned our "happily ever after" right on Disney property, and now I'm lucky enough to plan magical vacations for my three incredible children. When we're not taking in the enchanting experiences of the parks, we're home in Massachusetts, probably planning our next trip! Learn More About Ashley
