How far in advance can I book tickets to Disneyland in CA? Also, do still need to do a reservation first, or buying a ticket is the reservation?

Hey there, Brenda! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney. There are few things more exciting than planning a visit to the Disneyland Resort. Let's get started with your question.

Theme park reservations can be made up to 120 days in advance. We're just shy of your visit dates opening up for reservations. When they do open up for booking, you can purchase your tickets. During the purchase process, you will be prompted to select the day(s) of your visit and which park you'd like to visit, or start at (if purchasing a Park Hopper) each day. This will be your theme park reservation. After you've completed your purchase, you can log in to your Disney account and see your reservations under "My Disneyland," and then "My Plans." You can also find this when opening the Disneyland app by tapping on the three horizontal bars in the bottom right corner and then tapping the tile "Future Plans."

There are so many exciting things happening at the Disneyland Resort this year. The Disney100 Celebration just kicked off over the weekend and the new attraction, Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway opened. The parks are beautifully decked out in purple and platinum and there are festive treats that you can enjoy to celebrate. One of my favorites was the Lemon Chiffon Pie. I also recommend checking out World of Color - ONE or Wondrous Journeys. Both of these nighttime spectaculars are a must-see!

I hope this helps as you plan for your visit, Brenda. Please come back to visit with any other questions as you continue to plan. Until then, have a magical day!
