How far in advance can I book my stay at the Grand Californian?

Hey there, hi there, ho there, Sharon, and thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Planning a vacation to the Happiest Place on Earth is always an exciting time, and I’m thrilled to be part of planning yours!

Currently, the Disneyland Resort is accepting reservations for Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa through the end of 2019. So, since you’re looking at an arrival date of April 5, 2020, I recommend checking back in the fall. You’ll most likely start seeing availability in September or October. You can either book your reservation online, or by calling (714) 635-2300.

You are going to fall in love with the Grand Californian! It’s an exquisite resort! Plus, its special theme-park entrance into Disney California Adventure Park makes it convenient for families who may want to take a midday nap or pool break. Speaking of pools, you won’t want to miss the Redwood Pool, featuring a 90-foot-long waterslide that curves around the stump of a giant redwood tree!

As you’re planning your Disneyland Resort adventures, also keep in mind that you can start making dining reservations up to 60 days in advance. Some of my personal favorites for unique dining experiences include Wine Country Trattoria, Blue Bayou Restaurant, and breakfast at Carnation Cafe. I also suggest planning at least one Character dining experience – my family’s favorite is Minnie & Friends – Breakfast in the Park!

Please stop by with any more questions you have as you continue planning your stay at the Disneyland Resort.

    Wishing you Disney magic!

Meet the Panelist: Kristin, California

Greetings from sunny California! I live less than an hour from the Disneyland Resort, and have been an Annual Passholder (and now a Magic Key Passholder) for more than 20 years! As a mom of three kids ages 5-10, I consider myself an expert at navigating the Disneyland Resort with little ones. My family of five can’t get enough of the magic and happiness we encounter every time we step foot on Main Street, U.S.A. I look forward to sprinkling pixie dust on your next visit to the Happiest Place on Earth! Learn More About Kristin
