How far in advance can you book your room at Disneyland hotels? Thinking pier hotel would be best for the water and fireworks room view, but concerned on the walk to the parks from there. What's your input on this?

Thanks for your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Susan.

A stay at a Disneyland Resort Hotels is a great way to keep the magic going day and night during your visit to the Disneyland Resort.

Although schedules vary, reservations to Disneyland Resort Hotels can usually be made at least four months in advance. The booking window through December 2019 was released at the end of July 2018.

One of our favorite Disneyland Resort Hotel memories is watching fireworks from our window of the Fantasy Tower at the Disneyland Hotel. We were mesmerized by the view of Pixar Pier from our Premium View room of Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel. And oh! what a thrill to have a relaxing morning on the balcony of our Woods-Courtyard View room of Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa be punctuated by a brief passing-through of the Disneyland Monorail! Note that room location requests are not always guaranteed. Due to possible obstructions as well as weather and scheduling interruptions, no room at the Disneyland Resort Hotels has a guaranteed fireworks view. When fireworks are on display, the E-Ticket Club at the Disneyland Hotel and the pool deck of Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel are great locations.

As for the walk to the parks, you can't go wrong with any of the Disneyland Resort Hotels. We recently stayed at Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel. The nearby security screening was smooth and quick. The walk through Downtown Disney District to the parks was close and convenient. On your way back to the hotel room at the end of the day, you may even take a lovely shortcut through Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa.

    Have a magical day!
