how far in advance can you book a resort reservation

    Hi Natalie,

I'm so glad you stopped by to visit the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I completely understand your eagerness to start planning your family's next trip to the Walt Disney World Resort. Once you take home some of that pixie-dust, it's only a matter of time before you feel the overwhelming need to return to the magic.

You can reserve accommodations at Walt Disney World Resort Hotels up to 499 days in advance of your intended checkout date. However, you cannot make an on-line reservation for a Magic Your Way Vacation Package until the actual pricing is announced. Historically, rates have been released during the summer so you can expect the 2017 package prices to come out around the same time this year.

If you wish to book a room-only reservation, I recommend calling Disney at (407) WDW-DISNEY, or (407) 939-7639. They will charge you for a single night based on this year's rate, and then automatically adjust your reservation once the 2017 pricing is released. After the 2017 package pricing is announced, you may convert your room-only reservation into a Magic Your Way Vacation Package reservation. Be sure to keep an eye on the Special Offers too. If a better discount comes along, simply call Disney to change your package reservation, based on availability, to the offer that best fits your budget.

I hope this helps, Natalie. Please write back with more questions as you continue to plan your visit to the Walt Disney World Resort.
