How far in advance can you book a resort?

Hey there, Janice! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. There’s nothing like planning a trip to Walt Disney World!

My wife daughter and I are in the planning process for a vacation next Spring, so lucky for the both of us when it comes to booking room-only reservations at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, you can make that reservation up to 499 days in advance. To make a reservation this far in advance, you’ll want to give the magical Cast Members at Disney a call to secure your room.

When making a reservation this far in advance, keep in mind that you can always adjust existing reservations to take advantage of any Special Offers that might come along and as long as the dates align, you can give those Cast Members a buzz back and they will work their magic again to apply that offer to your existing reservation.

If you’re looking for a Disney Resort recommendation, might I suggest looking into Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. We stayed here last year and reserved a Savanna View… and it was remarkable! There’s nothing like watching animals graze the savanna early in the morning and late into the evening.

If you have any other questions please let us know. Have a magical day and tell Mickey and Minnie I said hello!
