Bonjour Karla and welcome to planDisney!
December is such a fantastic time to visit Disneyland Paris - the most magical time of the year, in my opinion.
Disney Enchanted Christmas will be in full swing when you arrive so be sure to catch Mickey's Dazzling Christmas Parade!, "Let's Sing Christmas!" musical show and the Magical Christmas Tree Lighting, during your visit.
The
Reserved Viewing Area for the parade and nighttime show offer a prime viewing location and with only a limited number of places available in the dedicated zone, you'll be guaranteed a great view.
If you booked your stay directly with
Disneyland Paris, there are 2 ways to book the Reserved Viewing Area for the parade and nighttime show at Disneyland Paris:-
1/ You can add this via your MyDisney Account once your
Hotel+Ticket package has been paid for in full.
2/ By contacting Disneyland Paris via the Live Chat function which can be accessed by clicking on "Ask your question" in the blue box that says "Need help?" which pops up while you are browsing the Disneyland Paris website and/or Disneyland Paris App.
I was advised by a Disney Agent on the Disneyland Paris Live Chat function, a few days ago, that it is only currently possible to book this
Magical Extra for dates up until the end of September 2025. They advised that later dates should become available to book over the coming weeks so I would recommend contacting them directly, periodically, to ask if any further dates have been released.
If you made your booking through a Travel Agency then it is only possible to reserve viewing areas via the
Disneyland Paris App, 1 week before your arrival date.
What I would say is please try not to worry about securing a reservation too much as there are lots of great places to watch the parade and nighttime show from outside of the reserved viewing area.
Can I share a little secret with you? I have never personally paid for the reserved viewing area in all of my visits. My family's favourite spot to watch the nighttime show is from behind the low railings, in the castle hub area, facing Sleeping Beauty Castle, closest to the walkway towards Frontierland. Between me and you, this is a great location as no-one can stand in front of you and there are no trees obscuring your view.
As for the parade, anywhere along the parade route would be a great place to watch from. We often watch from the start of the parade so that once it has passed we can take advantage of lower wait times for attractions whilst many other guests, further along the parade route, are still waiting for the parade to arrive.
I hope that this has answered your question, Karla. Please feel free to re-visit us here at planDisney if we can be of any further help with the planning of your December trip.
Wishing you a magical holiday filled with memories which will last a lifetime!
Emma
