How far in advance can we book a Poolside Cabana at the Disneyland Hotel? Also, we are a party of 7 however this includes a toddler (2 years) and a baby (11 months). Can we reserve just one Cabana? Or would the baby be included in the count and need two?

    Hello, Alise!

Welcome to planDisney! I must say, I like your touring style. Who doesn't want to kick back next to a beautiful pool for a rest day? I'm actually considering a cabana rental for an upcoming trip of my own, so I'd be happy to share my research with you.

Poolside Rentals at the Disneyland Resort can be booked up to 60 days in advance by calling your hotel directly at the numbers listed on the webpage. The Disneyland Hotel has both cabanas and pods available for either half-day or full-day rentals. I called and chatted with a Cast Member at the hotel who shared that the rentals currently go from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM for full-day rentals or you can do half-day rentals from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM or 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. My new friend also confirmed for me that for your specific situation you should be just fine to rent a single cabana since one of the guests is an infant. Yay!

Please know that poolside rentals may be canceled by the resort due to inclement weather. The pools will stay open for rain, but lightning is a safety concern. Outside of weather issues, you'll need to cancel at least 24 hours before your rental. The full price of your rental will be forfeited in the event of a no-show or same-day cancellation.

Now to the fun stuff! I really love the Pools at the Disneyland Hotel. Since you mentioned your toddler, I would recommend requesting a cabana near the Monorail Waterslides. The slides are in a shallow pool that's filled with water jets and smaller slides that would be perfect for your little ones! One of the best parts about the pools at the Disneyland Hotel is their proximity to Trader Sam's Enchanted Tiki Bar and Tangaroa Terrace Tropical Bar & Grill. Sometimes you can order right from your spot at the pool to have a delicious drink and snack delivered to you! Pork Gyoza and a DOLE Whip is the perfect afternoon snack, in my opinion.

I hope this information was helpful for you Alise, and I'm sending extra pixie dust for blue skies and sunshine while you enjoy a day in your cabana! Don't forget to take your little Mouseketeers to explore Mickey's Toontown, you might just meet some of their favorite characters while you're there. If you have any other questions about your upcoming visit you can send me a note and I'll splash right back to help you!

    Keep moving forward!
