How far in advance can you book your hotel?

Hello Melanie!  Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I have started to plan my Walt Disney World Resort vacations so far in advance that my wife jokes that I'm always thinking 4 trips ahead.  So far, I haven't made too many planning mistakes in the present while focused on the future.

Guests are able to book Room-Only Reservations for Walt Disney World Resort Hotels up to 499 days in advance of their planned vacation.  Oftentimes to make these Reservations this far in advance, Guests must book with a Cast Member directly by calling (407)939-1936.  Once booked, your Room-Only Reservations will be posted to My Disney Experience Account and modifications(if possible) may be made directly using your account.

To book a Walt Disney World Resort Vacation Package, Special Offer or to book online, the time period for reservations may be considerably less than for Room-Only Reservations.  Vacation Packages, Special Offers and online booking is offered by Walt Disney World Resort on shorter-term basis.  When I wanted to book a January 2017 Walt Disney World Resort vacation, I could not do so online until midsummer 2016 and had to wait until October 2016 to modify my reservations to take advantage of a released Special Offer for Resort Hotel Rooms.

I recommend you book a Room-Only Reservation for the hotel and room you are interested in, and frequently monitor the Walt Disney World Resort website closer to your trip to modify your Reservation to take advantage of any package or offer that pops up.

    Happy Planning!
