How far in advance should we book our cruise? We want to crusie on the Disney Dream in Fall of 2014. When would those itineraries come out? Thanks!

    Hi Danielle!

Disney Cruise Line just released their 2013 itineraries about two weeks ago, so going by that guideline, I would say that the 2014 itinerary will be released approximately mid-January of 2013.  That's good news for you.  It means that you can start getting ideas for where you want to go and approximately how much you want to spend.  I would book as far ahead of your planned departure date as soon as you are able.  Rule of thumb is the earlier you book the more inexpensive it will be.  I will admit that I have booked Disney cruises up to a year and a half BEFORE the trip!  Obviously, savings is a priority, but did you know that once you have your deposit on your trip you can make as many payments as you want until you have to be paid in full?  Do what my sister and I always do.  An extra $50 dollars in your pocket this week/month?  Call Disney Cruise Line and pay it towards your trip.  The extra time really gives you the opportunity to figure out your budget and a payment plan for yourself.

I hope this helps.  Please let me know if you have any other questions.  Happy planning!
