How far in advance can you book character dining if staying offsite?

Welcome to planDisney, Nicola and a very Happy New Year to you! Thank you for dropping by with your question.

One of my favorite things to do at Walt Disney World Resort is experiencing Character Dining with my family. What a great way to start off the day with a breakfast at Chef Mickey's or lunch at Hollywood and Vine. My son gravitates towards Chip and Dale (plus the grilled beef with Chimichurri sauce and creamy mashed potatoes) at the Garden Grill Restaurant. Please note: Guests will need valid park admission and a reservation for park entry through the Disney Park Pass system--as well as a dining reservation-- to dine at in-park, table-service restaurants.

At this time, Guests are able to book dining reservations up to 60 days in advance. Those who are staying at an onsite Walt Disney World Resort hotel can make reservations 60 days in advance plus the length of their stay (up to 10 days).

I see that your arrival date is in early July 2022, Nicola. Lots of changes can potentially take place between now and then. I suggest keeping an eye on Disney Parks Blog for the latest news and official updates. Of course you are also welcome to visit us again on planDisney for additional questions you may have. We are all EARS and eager to help you plan an amazing trip to the Walt Disney World Resort!

    Have a magical day,

Meet the Panelist: Kiki, California

Greetings! I have been fascinated by the magic of Disney since I was a little girl; now that I am a mother of two, I love watching my children experience Disney Parks through their own eyes. I am also surrounded by fellow Disney-loving nurse friends whom I enjoy quick adults-only Disneyland Resort escapes or Disney Cruise Line voyages with. Whether you are planning your once-in-a-lifetime family trip or a short adults-only getaway to the Happiest Place on Earth, I am here to help!
