    We are going on the Fantasy on Oct 27th to the Western Caribbean. First Disney cruise!! Is there any thing special that we should be in the know of? Insider tips or must dos?? Should we should pack a costume for our son (9) for Halloween?

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Congratulations on booking your inaugural voyage with Captain Mickey! You've chosen such a gorgeous itinerary aboard the Disney Fantasy for your first high-seas adventure. I'll never forget stepping onto a Disney Cruise ship for the first time. Hopefully, this will be the first of many voyages for you and your pirate crew!

    Your Halloween on the High Seas cruise will be so spooktacular! Yes, absolutely pack a Halloween costume for your pirate! He will love trick-or-treating on deck during Mickey's Mouse-querade Party! Another night you may want to plan costumes for is Pirate Night. This swashbuckling evening is filled with food, fireworks, a deck party and pirate-y shenanigans! (Our favorite view of the fireworks is Deck 12, starboard side!)

    The Halloween on the High Seas festivities, Character Experiences and Live Shows & Entertainment are quite popular, so I recommend arriving at least 15 minutes early to each event. If you haven't done so already, I suggest downloading the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app for your smartphone. Once onboard, this complimentary app will allow you to have each day's itinerary (and so much more) right in the palm of your hand.
