Hello! We are going on the Fantasy May 10 7-night Western Caribbean. We have booked Palo dinner for night 6 but understand that is also the semi-formal Captain's Gala menu. Should we cancel Palo for the Captain's Gala? How is the Gala menu different?

    Welcome Aboard, Joy!
Wow, seven nights on the Disney Fantasy - get ready to have the time of your life! We sailed the same itinerary last spring, and were simply amazed by all the beautiful ports of call. The ship is gorgeous, and the staff is incredibly attentive and will treat you like a VIP!

I see you've done your research about your Dining Rotation. Night six is indeed the Captain's Gala menu - a really special treat. If you're a seafood lover, this is one meal you don't want to miss. From Oysters Rockefeller to Oven Baked Lobster Tail, the menu is full of fresh seafood choices, and each course is more delicious than the last! If they offer the Wild Forest Mushroom Soup, make sure to try it - it's swirled with White Truffle Oil, and it'll knock your socks off! The desserts are fabulous as well, with Chocolate Lava Cake as the crown jewel of the sweets.

On your itinerary, you'll have special dining nights on the 4th night (Prince & Princess), the 5th night (Pirate Night - Argghh!), and the 6th night (Captain's Gala). Menus for all of these meals can be found at allears.net. If I had to make a choice, I wouldn't want to miss Pirate Night or the Captain's Gala. Both are fun evenings with delicious menus! If you don't want to miss these special events, you can make changes to your plans online at www.disneycruise.com before you cruise, or wait until you board the ship. There will be a time and location listed in your Personal Navigator to make dining changes on the first afternoon.

Hopefully you 'll be able to adjust your schedule to include all of the awesome dining options you want!

I hope this helps! Have a magical vacation aboard the Disney Fantasy! - Diane W.
