Ahoy there, Brittany!
Welcome aboard planDisney! Embarkation day is one of my favorite days of the entire cruise because it’s when everything shifts from “planning mode” to “we’re really doing this,” kind of like when the camera pans across the savanna at the start of The Lion King and you know something big is about to happen.
Now, I wish I could give you a firm, minute-by-minute schedule for what to expect on embarkation day, but sometimes Disney needs to make adjustments. Because of that, your
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app will be your go-to guide once you’re connected to the ship’s Wi-Fi. However, what I can do is look to the past in hopes of predicting the future and help get your plans sailing in the right direction.
For your sailing, you are currently scheduled for an all-aboard time of 3:00 PM and a departure time of 4:00 PM. Based on similar Fantasy sailings, the
Mandatory Guest Assembly Drill typically takes place about 30 minutes before departure, which puts it right around 3:30 PM.
Once the drill wraps up, the timing usually flows straight into the
Sailing Away Deck Party at 4:00 PM. This is when the music cranks up, the ship’s horn sends chills, and that “we’re officially on vacation” feeling hits all at once. If the deck party is high on your priority list, I recommend heading up toward the pool deck shortly after the drill so you can find the best view before the party begins.
I hope this helps as you fine-tune your embarkation-day timeline and get ready for that first big Disney Cruise Line moment. Before you know it, land will be disappearing behind you, and the only decision left will be whether to grab an ice cream or dance along at the sail away.
Sea ya real soon as the adventure continues into a bright new year,
Dustin
